Commercial Bank on a joint venture to train Lankan bankers Commercial Bank of Sri Lanka has entered into a joint venture with the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) of Mumbai. This agreement with IIBF would be an alternate channel for Sri Lankan bankers to pursue their studies at an affordable rate, its Trainig Centre Manager M.L Harees said. He said that this joint venture with IIBF will enable to offer intermediate and diploma courses here and the agreement was signed on October 1.The new courses are expected to be launched in January 2005. IIBF would provide the examination system support and act as the certifying body jointly with the Bankd. |
