Another rail strike

The All Island Assistant Station Master's Union has threatened to go on strike from midnight of November 30 protesting non-absorption to the permanent cadre. This was announced in a press release issued by the All Island Assistant Station Masters' Union.

The strike has been organised in a bid to oppose the submission of an incomplete report to the Attorney-General's Department by the General Manager Railways (GMR). The Union has decided to hold a protest campaign in front of the Fort Railway Station at 12 noon on December 1.
