Hilton tennis gala Dec. 13 to 19 Tennis Gala 2004 conducted by the Hilton Colombo Residencies will be held from December 13 to 19 at the Residencies Sports centre. The tournament is open for seeded players and novices, but two seeded players cannot be partners in a doubles competition. Seven events are scheduled to be worked out which includes boys and girls under 12, boys and girls under 16, men's open, women's open and mixed doubles. The under 12 and under 16 events will be open to all novices. All players who are ranked one to ten in the SLTA ranking list as at 31st October 31, 2004 will not be eligible to play. The match format will be best of seven games without advantage. However, the final will be played best of seven with advantage. Cash prizes and trophies will be presented to all winners. |
