Princes William and Harry help aid efforts LONDON, Saturday (AFP) Young British Princes William and Harry lent a personal hand Friday to relief efforts for the Asia tsunami, packing emergency supplies for the Maldives at a Red Cross warehouse. The royal duo, the sons of heir to the British throne Prince Charles, packed hygiene kits, moved boxes and then pulled pallets outside warehouse in Bristol, western England, ready for removal. Eighty-two people have been reported dead in the Maldives following the December 26 tsunamis, and much of the infrastructure in the 199 inhabited coral islands was washed away. William, 22, and 20-year-old brother Harry described being moved to tears by television footage of the disaster's aftermath, especially the plight of orphaned children. |
