TUI AG, commits Euro 1.25m.

TUI AG, the largest tour operator in Europe, has volunteered to donate a sum of Euro 1.25 million towards the long-term development of the areas affected by the tsunami. They will focus on rebuilding a village, affected in the Tangalle district.

The various projects not only help in setting up accommodation, schools and medical wards, but also provide support for fishermen and farmers in the form of small credit, material goods as well as training of medical personnel and teachers.

TUI AG, which has a large stake in Aitken Spence Travels, has also decided to help the Aitken Spence Group in its own rehabilitation work.
