Felicitating music maestro Premasiri Khemadasa

Khemadasa Music Academy will be ceremoniously declared open at Jana Kala Kendraya, Battaramulla felicitating veteran musician Premasiri Khemadasa on February 9 with the participation of Ministers and several artistes. The institution, established with the intention of expanding music education will conduct one year music courses for students.

Few films with music provided by maestro Khemadasa will also be telecast on National Rupavahini every Friday from Feb. 11-March 4 at 10.00 p.m. The selected films are 'Puran Appu', 'Hansa Vilak', 'Para Dige' and 'Thousand flowers'.

A documentary on his innovative life has also been produced by the National Rupavahini and it will also be telecast in four episodes at 9.30 p.m. on the film screening days.
