"The government welcomes the interest shown by both the national and international NGOs, in participating in the post tsunami rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Sri Lanka", a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance and Planning said. But for the purposes of transparency and adherence, all the NGOs are requested to furnish to the Director General, External Resources of the Ministry of Finance and Planning the following information.

* Details of ongoing projects and programs and estimated cost.

* Details of proposed projects and program and estimated cost.

* Sources of funding

The intention is to create an enabling environment in which NGOs can work as partners in the post tsunami reconstruction and rehabilitation effort, the release said.
