Ceylinco Life reaches out to children

Top insurer Ceylinco Life will reach out to children islandwide with a unique month-long promotion commencing this month under the aegis of its popular child insurance product Ceylinco Ran Daru

Bannered 'Ran Daru Sawari, this interactive promotion will touch the lives of several hundred thousand children and reward more than two thousand with attractive gifts, the company said this week.

The highlight of the 'Sawari'will be an all-expenses-paid visit to Sentosa Island in Singapore for two children and their parents in June and a day trip in April for 250 children along with a parent to the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela.

The promotion intends to create better awareness among children and parents on the importance of insurance, and build greater interaction with Ceylinco Life islandwide branch network of over 100 offices, Ceylinco Life Chief Executive Director R. Renganathan said.

The first phase of the Ran Daru Sawari began with the commencement of the new school year. Ceylinco Life has produced more than 350,000 attractive student timetables which are currently being distributed at selected schools and through the company's branch offices.

Each timetable contains a detachable coupon which enables the recipient to participate in a series of draws to be conducted at all Ceylinco Life branches islandwide. Two students from each draw will be eligible to participate in the Pinnawela outing in the company of two popular child celebrities, Pramudhi Karunaratne, better known to children as 'Punchi Panchi' and Nithyawani, the host of Sirasa TV's Kutti Chutti program.

Students who do not win a seat on one of the ten buses that will make the trip to Pinnawela will be eligible to win thousands of consolation prizes.

After the visit to Pinnawela, the 250 lucky students will be told how they may compete to win the grand prizes of a trip to Singapore with their parents.
