Feedback on the fast lane by Mahes Perera Back home from Dubai and now into the active music scene in Sri Lanka is the five piece band Feedback working gigs in the North Colombo circuit and playing for private functions. Soon they will hit the Colombo circuit with their versatility that earned them a great deal of popularity, when they were rocked the night club 44 Degrees at Hotel Sea Shell Inn in Dubai. "It was an experience working in Dubai, we had to be on the ball entertaining the audience and meeting their demands playing a variety of music from chart hits to rock, reggae and to the evergreens. It was a good feeling because the response from the audience was always spontaneous," says Asela Fernando leader of Feedback and the energetic keyboardist vocalist of the group who has had experience playing at the Maldives and Bharain. Feedback, before they left for Dubai was featured on Saturdays at the hut, Mount Lavinia Hotel, their music grooves much sought after by the Saturday night groovers at the Blue Leopard, GOH and Lords in Negombo. The band has an exciting vocalist in Shamali Fernando while the other members of the band are Ashendra Fernando - bass/vocals, Chaturanga Pieris - guitar, Ravi Jayawickrema on drums. |
