Exhibition chess for tsunami affected players Indian Grand Masters have joined two Sri Lankan Fide Masters and Sri Lankan medal winners to stage simultaneous exhibition chess matches in aid of tsunami affected chess players. The objective behind this move is to give opportunity to chess players of the Southern Province who have shown great enthusiasm in chess. Officials of the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club have decided, that they, as a responsible organisation to put up a centre which can give recreational facilities for the unfortunate ones. Indian Grand Masters Ars Aarthie Ramaswamy and Meenakshi Subramaniam and R.B. Ramesh will join two Sri Lankan Fide Masters Dr. Harsha Aturupane and Harinlal Aturupane and Sri Lankan medal winners Lakshman Wijesuriya and Sarath Rupasinghe have readily accepted the invitation of Anatoly Karpov Chess Club to play simultaneous exhibition chess matches with Sri Lankan chess players.
