President sends condolences to Pakistan President Chandrika Kumaratunga sent a condolence message to her Pakistani counterpart General Pervez Musharraf on Monday. Several people lost their lives and property last week in flash floods in Baluchistan and NWFP when a dam collapsed. Kumaratunga said, "As my own country goes through the process of rebuilding after the destruction wrought by the tsunami tidal waves in December last year, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Pakistan." The floods, landslides and avalanches hit South Western Baluchistan and the North West Frontier Provinces of Pakistan last week killing around 80 people and causing extensive damage to property.
