New High Commissioner in London By Colvin L. de Silva Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratna, a career diplomat with over twenty years in service with the Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry has been appointed as the 23rd High Commissioner in the Sri Lanka High Commission in London. She sets a new record as the first woman to hold this prestigious office. She is expected to present her credentials to the Queen in the coming summer. Mrs. Senewiratna is a product of CMS Ladies College, Colombo and read Economics for her degree. She had a stint with the Oxford University in the UK. Prior to this appointment, she was the Deputy High Commissioner at the London Mission. |
