PCCSL program in Jaffna The Press Complaints Commission of Sri Lanka (PCCSL) recently conducted an awareness program for Journalists and Civil society leaders in Jaffna from March 27 to 30 as part of the PCCSL's countrywide information campaign. The PCCSL's program in Jaffna has a series of workshops for journalists and Editors and seminars for civil society leaders and students of the Media Research and Training Centre (MRTC) of the Jaffna University. The PCCSL program in Jaffna was organised in collaboration with the MRTC of the Jaffna University with the assistance of Dr. Senthilvel Arulselvam and the programme was co-ordinated by PCCSl's complaint officer-in-charge of Tamil press Ameen Hussein, the CEO of the PCCSL, Ms Manique Mendis, Consultant from Sweden Johan Romare and English complaints officer Vasana Wickremasena. The PCCSL representatives also visited all the regional newspaper institutions in Jaffna and held meetings with publishers, editors and Journalists. |
