LG President awards Dream Home to farmer K. R. Kim, President, LG, awarded the Abans Dream Home at the millennium city to W. M. N. Rupasinghe from Dambulla at the recently concluded product range launch and dealer convention. Mrs. Abans Pestonjee, Chairperson of Abans Group of companies, drew the winning coupon. The luxury 'Abans Dream Home' at the Millennium City, is equipped with a TV, microwave oven, washing machine, airconditioner and a refrigerator from LG. Rupasinghe said that he purchased only an audio cassette player from the Dambulla showroom and never imagined that he would win the 'Dream Home'. He acknowledged that he is a loyal customer of Abans having purchased many products from the company. His loyalty was attributed to the efficient and prompt after sales service of the company, he said. A farmer and a father of three children, Rupasinghe and his wife received the award at the Taj Samudra Hotel. Mrs. Pestonjee said that it was a pleasure to see a customer such as Rupasinghe bagging the prize, as this was the purpose in conducting the Dream Home Draw, giving equal opportunity to everyone who shopped at Abans, during the season. The occasion also marked the 20th anniversary of the LG-Abans trade partnership. Kim said that it was the efficiency and support of Abans, LG that made headway in the consumer electronics market in Sri Lanka capturing a major share. Many important dignitaries from LG International and the directorate of the Abans Group of Companies were present. |
