Wins CIMA
Business Manager of the Year 2004 Gold
Ajantha Madurapperuma who holds three senior positions in the private sector was awarded the CIMA Business Manager of the Year, Gold award, at the "CIMA Janashakthi Pinnacle Awards 2005" at the Colombo Hilton. He was also awarded a scholarship to INSEAD, Paris, in recognition of winning the gold award. The annual event is organised by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Sri Lanka Division with the key sponsor being Janashakthi Insurance Company Ltd. Madurapperuma is the Deputy General Manager Corporate and Foreign currency Banking of Seylan Bank and is also Director/Chief Executive Officer of Seylan Bank Asset Management Ltd, a licensed Primary Dealer Company and Finance Director of Ceylinco Seylan Developments Ltd, a listed property developed company, both being subsidiaries of Seylan Bank. The CIMA Business Manager of the Year Award goes to the most outstanding CIMA member below 40 years. The selection process of the candidates included a requirement for the candidates to make a presentation to the panel of judges followed by a detailed interview. The silver award was won by Suren Fernando, Director, Finance and Management Control at MAS Holdings/Sara Lee Courtaulds joint ventures. J. T. Szoumyraj, Head of Group Information and Communication Technology, Brandix and Chairman of Wisdom Business Acadamy won the Bronze Award. |
