Age group relays April 30

Swimmers from over 50 schools and clubs will compete at the Age Group Relay Championship Meet conducted by the sri lanka Aquatic Sports Union on Saturday, April 30 at the Ananda College swimming pool starting at 8.30 a.m.

Both boys and girls will participate in five age groups: under-10, under-12, under-14, under-16, under-18 and open. SLASU challenge trophies will be presented to the champions in both sections.

At the 2004 meet, the swimmers from S. Thomas' College, Royal, Trinity, Asian International School and St. Joseph's College together with Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force fared prominently in the men's section.

Meanwhile, in the women's category, Mahamaya College ,Kandy, the outstanding school in swimming for the year 2004, Hillwood College, Kandy, St. Bridget's Convent, Bishop's College, Visakha Vidyalaya and Elizabeth Moir International School swimmers proved their superiority.

Interesting swimming fare will be on show on Saturday with swimmers from Colombo and Kandy going all out to prove their supremacy in the pool.
