Bio Tec International to expand product range

Bio Tec International (Pvt) Ltd, owned by Prof. K. Balasubramaniam, is diversifying its range of products.

Last week, the company signed an agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) to commence a project that would add value to agricultural raw materials using a unique bio technological process.

Currently, the products of the company are high volume and low value products. The new company, Bio Tec Orient (Pvt) Ltd., has branched off to produce low volume, high value products such as enzymes.

Prof. Balasubramaniam said, today, the development of a country is knowledge-based and this indigenously developed and patented new technology forms the foundation for investment from local and foreign sources.
