Rock in Kandy Kandy is going to have an earth shaking experience on Saturday June 25. Not because of an impending earthquake in the hill capital, but because Sri Lanka's organisation for originality, Rock Company is going to mark its welcome with a mesmerising performance to make Kandy tremble at its roots.
Rock Company has nurtured some of the most talented, diverse and unique bands and artistes that have helped spearhead a revolution ... the revolution of originality. Kandy audiences are always forthcoming and very supportive and bands just love the electrifying atmosphere created by the rock crazed music fanatics who swarm concerts to have a good time. Rock Company will sell its gigantic Second Compilation CD at the venue at a special price much less than in CD stores. Rock in Kandy at the Old Trinity Sports Club, Asgiriya will showcase Stigmata, Whirlwind, Soul Skinner, Insanity and Kandy's own Paranoid Earthling and Tapas with Dilan and Anil doing two solo acts. But the venue is small and to avoid disappointment be there well before 7 pm, the kick off time, so that you make certain to be a part of the mega concert that will feature great showmanship, the ear splitting tunes and pulse razor anthems of Sri Lanka's finest. |

Rock
in Kandy has been staged by Rock Company as many rock fans in Kandy wrote
in lamenting that step-motherly treatment was being meted out to them,
with all the concerts happening only in Colombo. In order not to
disappoint these diehard fans, Rock Company together with the Rotaract
Club of Kandy conceptualised Rock in Kandy - a concert to be remembered
for a very long time.
