Govt will stick to promises - PM
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse vowed to the nation that all the development projects by the Alliance government would continue and once completed would pass it on to the people. The Premier also said that all their pledges to the nation would be kept and all efforts taken to upgrade the lifestyle. Premier Rajapakse made these observations Friday at the `Minuwangoda Navodaya' program organised by the Western Province Chief Minister Reginald Cooray. Projects like Maga Neguma, Dahasak Maha Wew, industrial villages and all the other projects would be geared to reap best results, PM said. "It was the Alliance government which strengthened the public sector which had been destroyed by the previous regime. We kept the promise of providing employment for graduates and in the future work for the betterment of the country", the Premier added.
