Sanjay, Dilip and Ranjith win monthly medals

Sanjay Wettimuny, Dilip Kodikara and Ranjith Jayawardene emerged winners of the 'A', 'B', and 'C' Divisions respectively of the July Monthly Medol of the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) sponsored by Lexmark at the Ridgeways. Wettimuny won the 'A' Division with a nett 67 from Sanjeewa Wickremanayake who had a nett 68. Dilip Kodikara won the 'B' Division with a nett 64 on a better back 9 from Chandana Weerasinghe, while the 'C' Division was won by Ranjith Jayawardene with a nett 63 from Errol Weerasinghe who had a nett 66.

Norman Chandraratne won the Seniors event with a nett 69 on a better back 9 from M. R. Thabrew, while Elmo de Silva won the Masters Division with 68 from Don Indran (69 on a better back 9). Bandula Weerasinghe was the winner of the Nearest to the Pin at the 9th Hole (10 feet), while Sunil Jayakoddy had the best gross score on the par 3 Hole (11).

Among the Sri Lanka pool players, J. J. Kumar was the best with a gross 66 followed by Tissa Chandradasa who had a gross 68. (L.G.)
