Harmony: Multi cultural festival of dance and music 'Harmony'- multi cultual festival will be held on october 13 at Bishop's College Auditorium at 7.00 pm. A powerful message of oneness, which will be the outcome of the festival, will be presented by a combined effort of maestros in Sri Lanka. "Artistic and cultural activities are the best ways to create identification, recognition, mutual respect and underatanding, among different communities," says the festival Producer and choreagrapher Kalasuri Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan. An internationally renowned musician, broadcaster and chorepgrapher Kalasuri Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan has lined up specially chreographed programms for the event. Being a producer of many cultural events locallly and abroad, she is producing this festival along with renowned Kandyan Drummer and choregrapher Ravibandu Vidyapathy. The world renowned choregrapher dancer Channa Wijewardena, eminent musicians Shastrapathi Kolitha Banu - Dissanayake, Shastrapathi Kumara Liyanawatte, the popular drummers Piyasara Shilpathipathi, Jananath Warakagoda, Ratnadurai, Aruna Siriwardane, S. Srikanth, choreographer, dancer and actress Abiramy Kandeepan, popular Kirikodu fame music director Shyamalangan, popular folk singer Nazurdeen Bawa, Tony Hussen and many other leading artistes and dancers. It is a Norwegian funded project with media sponsorship of Sunday Observer, Dialy News, Dinamina, Veerakesari, Sirasa and Shakthi. The show will be on invitation.
