Middlesex University office a boon to students

by D. A. Wijewardena

The setting up of the Middlesex University regional office in Sri Lanka is of immense value to students.

It will facilitate the students to furnish and complete accurate documentation, said Middlesex University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. Terry Butland at the opening of the Middlesex University Regional Office at ICBT campus, Mount Lavinia.

Butland said that students wishing to complete their final examinations had been facing some difficulties in documentation processes. The new regional office would facilitate students with accurate documentation and information such as filling visa applications and admission forms.

Butland said that ICBT students had an opportunity to study at the esteemed Middlesex University in UK.

The regional office would expedite the admission processes and guide students to study in London without any hassle with individual attention.

He also said that the local office would work hand in hand with the support from the British Council in Sri Lanka.

Middlesex University Regional Director Dr. Maroof Raza said that the Middlesex University was the number one choice for international students studying in the UK as it had enrolled more than 5,500 students from over 130 countries.

Most programs were professionally accredited and every year new courses were introduced to meet the demands.

Dr. Raza said that the Middlesex University had established a network of international offices across the globe offering support to students in application procedures and admission processes and students were taught to approach discipline to develop in them an intellectual rigour, breath of perspective, people skills and qualities essential to any employer.
