Emirates offers visa facility in Colombo for Dubai Rugby 7s

Emirates the Dubai-based international airline will facilitate visa processing for Sri Lankan rugby fans keen to attend the Dubai Rugby 7s to be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 2.

This assistance is available to all travellers flying on Emirates through the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) located at Emirates' Colombo city office.

Many Sri Lankans who can find accommodation with friends and relatives in Dubai during the three-day event could apply for visas through the Dubai Visa Processing Centre, and no longer need to locate sponsors in Dubai.

For those who would like to experience Dubai's hospitality, Emirates Holidays has compiled a series of accommodation packages starting at US $ 482, on twin-sharing basis for three nights, at Rs 8,200 only per person, per night. This includes accommodation with breakfast, room taxes, service charges and meet and assist services on arrival.

The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby 7s tournament is the opening round of the IRB Sevens World Series featuring 16 of the best 7s nations. From November 30 to December 2 this year, the event is set to break all previous attendance records with over 140 teams and 1,750 players expected to take part in what has become one of the most unique carnival atmospheres to be found at any sporting event on the planet.

The top rugby nations will compete in this year's tournament including South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Samoa and Argentina, who will all be looking for victory in Dubai this year. The international action is just a part of this magnificent event. The International Invitational, Golf, Local Social, Ladies, Veterans and Youth competitions run alongside this and make it an action-packed three day event not to miss.

Award-winning Emirates operates 13 flights a week from Colombo to Dubai. For inquiries or bookings, please call Emirates Holidays on 2313212 or the Dubai Visa Processing Centre on 2300212.
