ICFAI University - education to meet global standards

ICFAI University has been included in the list of universities maintained by the UGC of India under Section 2 (F) of the UGC Act, 1956, a spokesman for the university said.

The ICFAI University represents the multi-state network of universities, sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, in different States under respective legislation. The University confers degree at bachelor, master and doctoral levels on eligible students subject to the University regulations.

He said the University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing, and developing a new cadre of professionals with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct.

The University offers a number of educational programs in finance, banking, insurance, accounting, law, management, information technology, arts, commerce, education and science and technology at bachelor's and master's levels on full-time campus and distance learning formats.

The University has been sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, which was established in 1984, with the objective of offering educational programs to students, executives and professionals in India. ICFAI has established an all India network of 180 centres in various States, for full-time campus-based programs. Currently there are over 50,000 students who come from all the States of India pursuing various campus based programs. There are over, 1,500 full-time faculty members engaged in teaching, consulting and research.

The ICFAI University has study centres in over 200 locations and over 200 campuses in India offering various full-time programs. The research and publications wing of ICFAI has emerged as one of the largest contributors of case studies to ECCH, UK. ICFAI has published over 300 books in management and allied areas.
