Kidney donor urgently needed

An A positive kidney is required for an urgent transplant for a young lady. M. M. Nadeeka Shamli of Malmessa, Thuntota, Dadigama. Any donor, please contact on 0713 222633, 0772 85573, 0777 630733.

Help Navanjana

Navanjana Keshani, 6 years old of C/O Mr. U. I. Ganegoda, 106/B, Mabima, Heiyanthuduwa, is suffering from a malignant brain tumour. She has undergone surgery to remove the tumour. In addition to the radiotherapy treatment which is planned, it would be beneficial for her to have a course of chemotherapy as well.

She will need Temodol (Temazolomide) 100mg x 5 days per month for at least 6 months as chemotherapy to achieve the best chance for cure. This medicine is not available in the hospital and the family of the patient is keen to supply the medicine.

The parents of the child are not in a financial position to spend for this treatment on their own. Any assistance towards collecting funds would be appreciated. Please remit all contributions to A/C No. 1791745, Bank of Ceylon, Biyagama branch.

Kidney patient needs help

P. A. Nandasiri (46), a father of two of Siri Niwasa, Kapugama East is suffuring from acute renal failure and warded at the Colombo National Hospital undergoing dialysis treatment. Consultant nephrologist Dr. Ruchika Lanarole recomended an urgent kidney transplant to save his life.

The surgery would cost nearly Rs. 500,000 including diagnostics and medication which he has to obtain from outside.

He is unable to foot this bill due to this present financial plight. He requests philanthropists and the general public to assist his cause by sending whatever financial contributions possible to help expedite the surgery.
