Gateway takes over Kindergarten Group in Oxford, UK

Gateway, fast establishing to be a worldwide education provider, with considerable presence in China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Nigeria and Bangladesh, has expanded its geographical boundaries to the UK.

Gateway took this step towards fostering the educational needs of young children by taking over the Abingdon Kindergarten Group in Oxford, UK. Founded in 1987, the Abingdon Kindergarten Group has a reputation of providing quality child care and early learning to children up to five years.

Gateway has experience in training and assessment that meets international standards. In the past, the organisation has had the distinction of producing educational programs that have been certified or endorsed by leading training providers in the UK. Gateway also carries out specialised programs in association with strategic partners in the UK.

With the new initiative, Gateway records a landmark achievement as an education provider, delivering programs of study in the UK.

In June 1995 the Abingdon Kindergarten won a top award being selected as the Customer Care Company of the Year by The Oxfordshire Business Awards.

In February 1999 the Abingdon Kindergarten became the first childcare establishment in Oxfordshire to achieve the National Award for Investors in People.

Each kindergarten has been inspected by OFSTED regarding their educational provision and received excellent reports. The premises are maintained to standards well above those normally demanded to satisfy the new childcare registration body OFSTED, Environmental Health and Fire Services.

With the focus of providing quality education from Foundation to Graduation, Gateway now has the opportunity to share the best practices across different countries. Training and developing the staff is considered a priority area at Gateway.

With Gateway's entry to the UK, staff of Gateway schools in Sri Lanka and UK has the opportunity to share their experiences through teacher exchange programs.
