JVP condemns attack on Dvora

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) condemns the LTTE attack on the Navy Dvora craft on January 06 night in a press release issued to the media.

The JVP says that it is shameful that this kind of action goes on while saying to the international community by that they are for saving the Ceasefire Agreement. "It is crystal clear that the LTTE always uses the CFA only for their advantages and therefore this attack cannot be taken as another violation of CFA."

The release also says that the main opposition UNP would try to avoid commenting on the incident and requests the UNP to enter the right track to defeat terrorism.

The JVP's political bureau also reminds the government that the government should be capable of understanding the gravity of this issue. It further says that the government should educate the international community keen on the country's peace process and take decisive steps to defeat tiger terrorism.
