'Cooperate or get out' by Thava Sajitharan President Mahinda Rajapakse stressed that at least 5,000 persons should be provided with jobs in each and every project launched by the Board of Investment (BOI). At a meeting held at the "Temple Trees" last Friday to discuss and resolve problems in the project proposals approved by the BOI, where the President emphasised that the local industries cannot be allowed to get destroyed as a result of 'other' investments. He also urged government officials to function effectively and efficiently to fulfil the tasks. "Anyone who is not willing to cooperate should be prepared to leave the government sector", he warned.
