Coiff and high fashion

by Umangi De Mel

Having conquered most parts of the world, haute couture grows by the day. Fashion adds colour to life while giving food for thought.

Inspiring even the most conventional crowds to go wild experimenting with the most daring and totally unseasoned attire, 'style' has created a revolution among people. Fashion, in a nutshell, non-verbally communicates meanings about both people and places and Sri Lanka apparently possess oodles of talented folk whose middle name is 'creativity'.

'The Look' a fashion show done by Ramani Fernando and Michael Wijesooriya, two maestri in the field of fashion, was held at the Colombo Hilton on March 26, displaying an array of bridal and evening wear.
