Radalla Hill Climb and Foxhill Super Cross to attract more spectators this year

Motoring calendar's biggest event will take place during this holiday season. Radalla Hill climb scheduled for the 10th April and the Foxhill Super Cross for the 15th and 16th will see Sri Lanka's best driving and riding talent on the tracks this year too.

The Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) will conduct this event under the sponsorship of CIC Paint (pvt)Ltd. This annual event which drew nearly 30,000 visitors last year is expected to draw larger crowds this year. Given the success of past events and the attraction the sport has for all ages the crowd is expected to double this year. Motor sport enthusiasts can expect much from the 1.8 Km track which can be seen from a central point.

CIC Paints, marketers of CIC Autofinish - Ultra having an abiding interest in motor sports Sri Lanka join SLARDAR in this bid to promote the sport. Under the two year sponsorship contract signed with the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR), CIC Paints will sponsor the Radalla Hill Climb, Foxhill Super Cross, Gajaba Super Cross, Gunners Super Cross & Katukurunda races.

Secretary of SLARDAR Nishan Wasalathanthri said that the sponsorship of the event were "CIC Paints has great organizational skills backed by a genuine love of the sport. These factors go a long way in making an event of this nature a success" he also added. "Motor racing is an expensive sport which needs investments in infrastructure, last year we were able to introduce computerized timing under the assistance received from the CIC Paint's sponsorship".

This strong partnership between the association of motor sporting enthusiasts and the market leader in decorative and refinish paints augurs well for the future of the sport.
