Acupuncture sans side-effects

Acupuncture treatment, a traditional form of medicine originating from centuries old Chinese medical treatment, is now available in Sri Lanka under the tutelage of two eminent people in the field Dr. Pan Rong and her husband Dr. Chen from China.

This form of medical treatment which boasts of no side-effects at all, has been in Sri Lanka for the past 19 years at 'Dr. Pan's Chinese Clinic in Colombo. The Head of the clinic Dr. Pan Rong who incidentally happens to be the daughter of a famous medical practitioner and the professor of the Chinese Medical University in Shanghai Dr. Pan Haisu, has already made a mark in this field in Sri Lanka by successfully treating and curing thousands of patients with chronic illnesses.

According to Dr. Pan Rong, the World Health Organization has given due recognition to this branch of medicine and the people in various countries have already availed of this traditional form of medicine in this own countries.

This comprehensive natural therapy includes massage at acupoints, electro therapy, magneto-therapy, ointment application, cupping, acupuncture, head/ear/hand/foot treatment and pinch at acupoints.

The acupuncture system strictly speaks of an acupressure treatment, which does not use needles in the PROCESS.

It is done by pressing specific points with the use of fingers or by certain instruments depending on the condition of the disease. Today, mental stress plays a big role in the precipitation of various ailments and even minor ailments lead to critical state, when affected by stress conditions.

Also the state of tension associated with busy lifestyles has largely contributed to these stress conditions. In this context, the acupressure treatment helps a person to regain mental equilibrium and activeness. It also helps stimulate the nervous system thereby ensuring a smooth blood circulation in the body.

This acupressure treatment is highly efficacious in treating various chronic diseases such as gastritis, headache, hemi crania, hemorrhoids, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, varicosity, hernia, sciatica, diabetes, related pains in joints, numbness, lumbago, backache, hypertension, skin diseases, loss of hair, stroke, impotence and high cholesterol level etc. etc.

Certain ailments, which plague patients for years such as pain in the vertebra and knee joints, can also be successfully treated without being subject to surgery. At this medical centre Dr. Pan Rong uses herbal treatment on patients with certain kind of ailments and the skin diseases in particular.
