Tharuna Aruna to train more graduates
The third phase of the Tharuna Aruna program will commence tomorrow
(June 05) to provide employment oriented training for graduates. Skills
Development and Public Enterprise Reforms Minister Sripathi
Sooriyarachchi told the Sunday Observer that the third phase of Tharuna
Aruna would train over 18,000 graduates targeting them to be profitable
enterprenuers to the country.
The Minister said that the program would start at 33 Yovun Diriya
centres tomorrow including the North-East for 2,000 youth. The official
ceremony will be held at the Yovun Diriya Centre, Dompe.
The training includes three months institutional training and six
months on the job training. Trainees will be trained on Business
English, Information Technology, Import and Export proceedings, Business
Management in the institutional training period. They will also be given
an allowance of Rs. 5,000 with uniforms, breakfast and lunch.
