New Union Assurance Motor Centre to be opened

The dedicated Union Assurance Motor Centre of Union Assurance Ltd (UAL) at Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 7 will be opened tomorrow by the Chairman Ajith Gunewardena. General Manager of General Insurance, UAL Nimal Perera said that the rationale for shifting the Motor Insurance business from the UAL Centre at St. Michaels Road, Colombo 3, was to provide an efficient and fast service to customers of motor insurance at a one stop shop.

He said that General insurance business was growing tremendously and to cater to the growth in business we had to expand internally.

Senior Manager Motor Claims T. M. Bohoran said that motor insurance claims are more in volume compared to other claims. Therefore, a dedicated place was a long-felt need to give a superior service to our customers.

UAL has added new benefits to its motor insurance policies. We have tied up with over 200 garages islandwide offering road side assistance in the event of a break down or a similar inconvenience.

This is in addition to offering three convenient claims settlement options on-the-scene assessment, with claims settled within 48 hours, the Drive in Drive Out repair option with bills settled direct to the garage or the traditional claims settlement method.
