Security for schoolchildren

A project titled 'Kumara Pawura' that provides security to school children has been implemented by the Ministries of Defence and Education, Information Department and other statutory boards. The project includes a number of measures to guarantee the security of schoolchildren country-wide.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Telecom has agreed to provide free Caller Line Identification (CLI) facility to all schools and hospitals on a request by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC).

The facility will enable police to arrest any person makes nuisance calls.
