Three-cornered tussle for President's post

It will be a three cornered tussle for the Sri Lanka Cricket Presidency between the incumbent Interim Committee President Jayantha Dharmadasa, Mohan de Silva and Lorence Amarasena at the July 15 AGM of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Nominations closed at noon yesterday.

In the Dharmadasa camp former Test cricketer Kaushik Amalean and K. Mathivanan will contest for the vice presidents' post and for the secretaries post Nishantha Ranatunga has been nominated. Prakash Schaffter's name has been nominated for the Assistant secretaries post, while Sujeeva Rajapakse and Ajith Cooray are the contestants for the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer's posts.

Former SLC President Mohan de Silva will have former Sri Lanka cricketer Jayantha Paranathala, Nushki Mohammed and Sujeeva Kodaliadde as Vice Presidents and Michael de Zoysa as Secretary. The treasurer's post will be contested by Nimal Perera.
