Sri Lanka's junior rowers for Asian Meet

The Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka has selected a
nine-member junior rowing team, seven girls and two boys to row at the
12th Asian Rowing Championships to be held on the Lower Seleter Regatta
Coyrse in Singapore from July 12 to 15. The rowers will leave on July 8.
Minoli Wijesinghe, Secretary, ARASL said that the rowers were
selected on their current form and they have been training under Johann
Corera on the Beira Waters.
Amanthi Weerasinghe, Shadeena Mendis, Gayani Boteju, Savani
Dissanayake, Shiyana Welikala (all of Ladies College), Danushi Rodrigo,
Dimitri Thilakasundara (both of Bishop's College), Muditha Jayasinghe
(Royal), Kamishka Jayaratne (Ananda).
Beside Sri Lanka, rowers from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong,
Thailand, China, Japan, Macau, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, India and
Pakistan will compete at the championships. |
