Bronze for first time since 1991
For the first time since 1991 Colombo SA Games, Sri Lanka won a medal
- a bronze by Mangala Samarakoon in the individual men's rifle 3 x 40 at
the shooting competition at Sri Lanka Navy Base Welisara, yesterday.
Both Indian shooters Chaudhary and Pandit bagged the gold and silver
respectively in this final event.
Pakistan shooters M. M. Tabbsun together with Mustaqeem Shah and
Irshad Ali won the gold in the 25 metre standard pistol team event men,
Indian team comprising of C. K. Chaudhary, Ashok Pandit and Kanchan
Gurung took the silver, while Sri Lankan trio - G. M. Chandana, Manjula
Fernando and Jampathi Poddalgoda had to be contended with a bronze. |
