Multilac to paint 250 places of religious worship to mark 25th anniversary

Multilac Paints, Sri Lanka's largest exporter of paints, celebrated its 25th anniversary recently with the launch of 'Multilac Pahasaraniya'. Under this special program, Multilac Paints will contribute towards the painting of over 250 different places of religious worship all over the country.

Deputy General Manager Sales Ramesh Perera said that paint is being supplied through the company's 125 Colour Banks islandwide at a specially reduced price thus enabling the owner of each Colour Bank to contribute towards the painting of the closest place of religious worship.

Together with this will be a second place of worship, always of a different religion.

"When this program nears completion by the end of 2006, we expect to have 250 places of religious worship all over Sri Lanka, shining bright with Multilac paints. As a truly Sri Lankan company, this is our contribution to religious and ethnic harmony in this country on our landmark anniversary", Perera said.

Over the past quarter century Multilac Paints has won an array of awards from the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries, the National Chamber of Exporters and The National Chamber of Commerce. At Multilac, the 'national feeling' is deeply rooted at all levels, from the top management to the minor employees.
