Unilever Lanka in community program

Unilever has decided to focus on their immediate neighbourhood in a community program titled "Love thy Neighbour".

With the intention of introducing itself as a genuine partner with the neighbourhood which has been its home for the past six decades Unilever Sri Lanka held a medical camp at the Unilever main premises free for more than a thousand people of all ages from the area.

The selected geographic boundaries for this project were areas surrounding the Grandpass road from Armour Street to Kosgashandiya, Grandpass Road to Kettarama junction and Kosgashandiya and Lukmanjee Square.

The program included a paediatric Clinic, an Eye Clinic, a Dental Clinic, and a Blood Donation Campaign. It was organised by a group of volunteers from the Unilever Workforce, Staff, Management and members of the immediate community.

It was opened by Unilever Chairman, Amal Cabraal, in the presence of the senior management of the company, together with employees and residents of the neighbourhood.
