Please help young heart patient

S. A. Iruki Navodha of 426/34 in Mullawatta, Gothatuwa; studying in Year 7 at Kolonnawa Balika Vidyalaya is suffering from a hole in the heart and valve narrowing condition.

Dr. Narendiran of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital and Dr. Aruna Kapuruge of Jayawardenapura Hospital had examined Navodha and have recommended that she should undergo surgery, which would cost around Rs. 400,000 and another Rs. 180,000 for drugs. The President's Fund has recommended Rs,. 125,000 as re-imburesent and the father of the child S. A. Sunil who is a driver in a state Department does not have the means to find the balance money.

He appeals to philanthropists and social service institutions to donate to save Navodha's life, which may be credited to S. A. I. Navodha's Account No. 5330698 of the Kolonnawa Bank of Ceylon. (Branch 595).

Kidney patient needs help

A. A. M. Mislaan, 44-year-old father of three children, of 783/4, Kanthi Mawatha, Hunupitiya, Wattala, is suffering from advanced chronic kidney failure and the only life saving measure recommended is kidney transplantation following dialysis treatment for 2-3 months.

His relative is willing to donate him a kidney. The total cost will be around Rs. 800,000. His family will be greatful to any assistance given by donors.
