Villa Palma Refurbished as Star Class 'Boutique' Resort

Villa Palma Beach Resort, overlooking the blue waters of the Pamunugama beach, has been fully refurbished. It now stands as a Star Class 'Boutique' resort. Complemented by lush palm trees, sea breeze, the sounds of the lapping waves of the Pamunugama beach, Villa Palma Beach Resort is ideal for family outings, company picnics, conferences and workshops for which the resort provided all modern facilities, General Manager, Eric Rodrigo said.

Villa Palma offers 20 luxury rooms, all of which have been fully refurbished. The rooms are now equipped with star class facilities, including hot/cold water, TV, mini-bar and room service. The resort is ideal for weddings and honeymoon couples as it provides a romantic atmosphere, with the golden beach, the beautiful landscaped garden and friendly and courteous service provided by the staff.

General Manager, Eric Rodrigo who holds a Diploma in Food and Beverage from the American Hotel and Motel Association, USA, uses his F & B talents to provide guests with the very best in Western, Eastern, Chinese and spicy Sri Lankan culinary delights, prepared by food maestro, Executive Chef Anil Senadeera.

It's a 45 minute drive to the resort from Colombo while easy access is available via Wattala and Tudella-Ja Ela. The resort has introduced many novel items to attract more guests. The Sunday lunch buffet introduced recently has become very popular, and has become a family affair. The lunch buffet is inclusive of the free use of the hotel's swimming pool.

The 'Fisherman's Cove' restaurant can accommodate over 200 guests while 'The Deep' banquet hall can accommodate over 100 guests. The hotel's 'Pirates Cove' bar is well stocked. The resort also has a Business Centre. The resort's House Keeper, D.G. Dissanayaka takes special care to see that all guest rooms are of star class.
