Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa, the first Maldivian hotel to be brought
under the Chaaya brand has done the brand proud by winning the
prestigious Thomas Cook "Marque of Excellence Award". This is awarded to
the best in brand in the Long haul category. Thomas Cook is one of the
world's leading tour operators, and this recognition received is an
outstanding achievement.
The hotel also received the Bronze award from Virgin Holidays, a
leading tour operator in the United Kingdom in the category of "The Best
all Inclusive Resorts in the World". This is the first time Chaaya
Lagoon has received these awards.
A property of the John Keells Group, Chaaya Lagoon was recently
refurbished before it was relaunched as a Chaaya Resort earlier this
year. Located in the Meemu Atoll 148km south of the capital Male, it had
70 uniquely designed water bungalows, as well as 10 beach bungalows.
Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa, meaning 'Sweet reef above water', the
resort is living up to its name, with the property reaping immediate
benefits of the rebranding efforts. |
