Microsoft, Dialog Telekom in Enterprise Agreement

Dialog Telekom has entered into an Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft, adopting the global software giant's most preferred offering for corporate customers. The strategic partnership provides Sri Lanka's premier telecom service provider access to up-to-date Microsoft software.

In parallel, Dialog also signed a Premier Services agreement with Microsoft, which will ensure that Microsoft technologies will be deployed and used in the most effective manner - enabling the company to achieve faster return on investment and better risk management.

Dialog is the first Sri Lankan company to sign a Premier services agreement directly with Microsoft Sri Lanka, which clearly demonstrates Telco's commitment towards providing a reliable service offering to its customers.

The Enterprise Agreement will provide Dialog Telekom with access to software such as Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Infrastructure and Directory Services, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 for Messaging, Microsoft Office 2007 System for personal productivity and Windows Vista for desktop environment.

Commenting on this landmark agreement, CEO of Dialog Telekom Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya said, "Collaborating among different business entities is a critical success factor for Dialog and therefore, the stability of our messaging infrastructure is of paramount importance.

Applauding the partnership, Microsoft's Country Manager for Sri Lanka Sriyan de Silva Wijeyeratne said, "Dialog has been a pioneer at introducing cutting edge technology and innovation to Sri Lanka's telecommunications industry. The company has always consciously sought world-class products and solutions for their technology needs, thereby developing a clear competitive advantage.

Commending the initiative taken by the Telco, Microsoft's Vice President, South East Asia Chris Atkinson said, "Dialog has clearly demonstrated its leadership position in the Telecommunications industry in Sri Lanka by becoming one of the most license-compliant Telecom companies.
