SB's sons 'back to business'
Asked to appear before police
The Fort Police have summoned the two sons of former minister S.B.
Dissanayake and two other women named the Nettikumara for an inquiry in
connection with an assault on a woman at Galadari hotel on Christmas
eve, police said.
The woman from Colombo 5 has complained to Fort Police that one of
the woman who accompanied minister Dissanayake's sons slapped her on the
face around 3.15 a.m. while at the hotel.
The woman in her complaint had stated that she had gone to the Night
Club at Galadari Hotel on December 24 accompanied two other persons and
were seated when Dissanayke's two sons arrived with two women.
The women had asked whether they could share the table to which she
had objected. After a heated argument the two women had threatened her
for not abliging then to occupy the table.
At this stage the hotel manager had intervened and provided
Dissanayake's sons and the two women with a separate table. The reason
for slapping was the refusal to share the table with them, the woman had
told the Fort police.
Earlier one of minister Dissanayake's sons were involved in a brawl
at a five star hotel in Colombo along with the son of former Minister
Mahinda Wijesekera.
OIC Fort Chief Inspector Ratnayake said that both parties have been
informed to appear before an inquiry in connection with the complaint on
assault. |
