Peak Rest: For hospitality at its peak

Peak Rest is built on a beautifully located mountain in close
proximity to the Hatton town. The hotel surrounded by waterfalls and
lush tea plantations, offers a picturesque setting for rest, relaxation
and some great time out.
The friendly services extended by Managing Director, K. Sugumar and
his ever smiling staff, has made tourists both Sri Lankan and foreign,
feel they are at the 'peak of hospitality' during their stay at Peak
Rest.
The hotel has 14 well appointed guest rooms with all modern
facilities and is the first tourist hotel at the entrance to the cool
climes of Hatton. The main attraction is Adam's Peak, which is only a
30-minute drive. The plus point at Peak Rest is that the Colombo-Badulla
'Udarata Menike' train and other up-country trains run adjacent to the
hotel and at night tourists enjoy a panoramic view of the lit up 'Yakada
Yaka' which had made Peak Rest an ideal location for train spotters.
The restaurant serves delicious Western, Eastern, Chinese and Sri
Lankan culinary delights. The hotel is a popular stop-over for those
travelling to Nuwara Eliya, on the Colombo-Hatton highway. The hotel
organises safaris for tourists to visit Nuwara Eliya. Adam's Peak and
Sri Lanka's most beautiful waterfalls, Devon and St. Clare, which are in
close proximity to Peak Rest.
Manager, Peak Rest, Dammika Mawalage said that the hotel is an ideal
location for family outings and company picnics, for which special
packages are offered. It is also an ideal spot for honeymooners due to
its romantic location and cool climate. "We treat all guests with a very
personal touch, and therefore many a tourist has become a 'repeater' to
Peak Rest, Business Development Manager, S. Prabakaran said.
The latest additions to Peak Rest are beautifully designed Summer
Houses and a BBQ Pavillion, which are ideal for BBQ nights and family
outings, MD, Peak Rest, K. Sugumar said. He said that special discounted
packages are offered especially to Sri Lankans and expatriates, until
January 30 to give Sri Lankans an opportunity to spend a memorable
holiday in the cool climes of Hatton. |
