CRICKET:Both right arm leg spinners Vimukthi Deshapriya match haul of 7 for 105 and Visuddhi Kaluwitharana match bag of 6 for 41 guided Isipathana to a good 8 wickets win over Zahira in their school cricket match at Maradana yesterday.

Zahira 75 for 3 overnight in reply to Isipathana 295 for 8 decl, were dismissed for 165 with Deshapriya claiming 3 for 48 and Kaluwitharana capturing 3 for 48. The Homesters following on with a deficit of 130 made 159. Once again it was a combination of Deshapriya 4 for 57 and Kaluwitharana 3 for 30 who made havoc amongst the Zahira batting line up.

Isipathana needing 30 for an outright victory scored 35 for 2 with Gamidu Kanishka who hit an aggressive 81 in the first innings stroked a brisk unbeaten 30 with 4 fours and 1 six.
