Semi-finalists found in Men's 'C' Division

BASKETBALL: Field Force, David Peiris Motor Company (DPMC), Colombo
Stallions and Kandy Cagers reached the quarter-finals of the Men's 'C'
Division in the Colombo Super League Championships of the Colombo
District Basketball Association (CDBA) at the Depot Police courts.
Field Force scored a close 80 points to 74 win over CIS after the
scores were level (39-each) at half time with Niroshan Sydney (17),
Shyam Dole (17) and Nilanga Wickremaratne (13) turning out to be the
match winners, while Rahaman Cader (29) and Hisham Cader (10) were the
pick for CIS. DPMC had quite a comfortable 93-61 win over SMI after
leading 37-35 at the breather with Sudantha Laksiri (34), Dishan
Bharathi (16) and Prageeth Premaratne (14) being the top scorers, while
Fazrin Ibrahim (25) and Famil Farouk (20) did well for SMI.
Colombo Stallions beat Cavaliers 83-64 after being led 30-31 at
lemons with Ahamed Shafie (22), Adam Flamer-Caldera (17) and Rickard
Sandrasagara (18) being the main scorers. while Gayan Buddhika (15),
Diluk Fernando (14) and A. K. A. Rohan (13) did well for Cavaliers.
Kandy Cagers beat St. Eugene's easily 62-32 after leading 30-20 at
half time with Kapil Dev (20), Lakshitha Abeyratne (15) and Niramitha
Weerasekera (9) being the major scorers, while Angelo Perera (12) was
the top scorer for St. Eugene's.
Seylan Bank had a comfortable 65-36 win over Track Masters after
leading 30-16 at half time in a Women's 'A' Division game with Dhanishka
Wijesinghe (16), Inoka Sandamali (15) and Premila Fernando (8) as the
chief scorers, while Himali Shanika (11) and Sashikala Romayne (10) were
the best for Track Masters.
Today (Sunday), Track Masters meet Paulians at St. Joseph's Girls'
School courts in a semi-final of the Women's 'A' Division at 4.30 p.m.
Then on the Depot Police courts, Stallions meet Kandy Cagers in one
semi-final of the Men's 'C' Division at 6 p.m., while Nugegoda Cagers
take on Ambalangoda BC in a Men's 'B' Division semi-final game at 7.30
p.m.
