Ceylinco Selna opens real estate offices overseas

Ceylinco Selna Ltd., a property developer of the Ceylinco Consolidated is opening real estate offices in New York, USA and in the Gulf region to expand its business network overseas.

General Manager, Ceylinco Selna, Bhathia Satharasinghe said the company decided to open overseas branches to help Sri Lankan expatriates to buy land in Sri Lanka to develop or construct houses which would be a big saving in foreign exchange to the country.

He said by opening overseas offices the company will save huge amounts of foreign exchange and help Sri Lankans to make a good return on investment.

Ceylinco Selna has drawn up plans this year to deal with estate management, developing condominiums, agricultural estates and infrastructure of land and buildings to develop real estate operations and the country's construction sector, Satharasinghe said.

The company approved as a BOI venture in 2003 under the Ceylinco Security and Finance Services Ltd. has helped the construction sector especially during the time of the devastating tsunami.

Director Finance, Ceylinco Selna, C. K. Gamage said the company is planning to construct houses for the middle income families at an affordable price.

Ceylinco Selna caters to the up-market clientele in luxury housing complexes at Malabe, Thalawathugoda and now in Kandana.

"We are focused on strengthening our brand image to carve a strong mindshare in the market", he said.

Ceylinco Selna along with 15 other companies under the Ceylinco Securities and Finance does leasing, lending, investment and treasury activities. The company will be moved to its new location at Thimbirigasyaya in April.
