First civilian sport pistol shooting range

The Hill Country Sport Shooting Club of Kandy, formed in 1999, affiliated to the National Rifle association of Sri Lanka and Approved by the Ministry of Defence, will open its Sport shooting range at Hantane - Kandy, under the patronage of Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Minister of Enterprise Development and Investment promotion on the 18th February 2007.

This young club will also host its first official open Pistol Sport shooting meet - "Sharp Shooter 2007" - at that range from the 15th to 18th February 2007.
