International schools athletic meet Feb. 23 to 25

ATHLETICS: The 7th Athletic Championship of International Schools will be held from February 23 to 25 at the Sugathadasa Stadium. Gateway College will be the official organiser.

The International Schools Athletic Championships which commenced in the year 2001 has presently established itself as a very popular athletic competition.

According to Sunil Jayaweera, Secretary General of ISAC since the inaugural competition, the standard of athletics among international schools have gradually advanced.

The standard has been encouraging and several athletes have achieved national and junior national colours. There will be around 2500 athletes from 19 reputed international schools participating at the meet.
